Mouth To Lung Tanks

[accordion clicktoclose=true tag=h3][accordion-item title=”‘How To’ CE4″ state=closed]

A Mouth-To-Lung tank.

‘Mouth To Lung’ vaping means drawing the vapor into your mouth before inhaling—the same way as smoking a cigarette (As opposed to ‘Direct Lung’ vaping which involves inhaling the vapor directly into your lungs).

The CE4 Clearomiser has an eGo thread, which is compatible with most types of eGo battery. It can hold up to 1.6ml of E-Liquid and features long wicks to soak up the   E-Liquid and deliver it evenly to the atomizer. For a more realistic smoking experience, the CE4 Clearomizer was also designed to give a draw akin to a cigarette. The CE4 is one of the original designs of clearomiser, when vaping with a refillable tank first came about. It is a straight forward, simple to use tank that would appeal to first-time, or very occasional vapers.

Coils

The CE4 tank is one single unit and therefore comes with an irreplaceable coil. When your coil burns out, you throw away the whole tank.

Changing coils

Since the CE4 does not have the capability for changing coils, some vapers find this appealing due to its simplicity. However, having to replace the entire unit each time does not prove to be very cost effective. An average user will need to replace the tank after getting through approximately 15ml of eliquid.

Filling your tank

The CE4 is filled from the top of the tank. Unscrew the mouthpiece by turning in an anti-clockwise direction. Tilt the tank to a 45 degree angle and drip the liquid down the side, carefully avoiding the centre tube/hole. Do not overfill. If this is your first time using the tank, you will need to wait a couple of minutes before you use it. This is to give the liquid chance to soak in and minimise the chances of the wicks burning out.

Our Opinion

The CE4 is a tank suitable for new starters due to its ease of use. It has however, become somewhat outdated. It is only suitable for use with a low voltage battery (around 3-3.5v) and its thin plastic construction is prone to cracking.

A Mouth-To-Lung tank.

‘Mouth To Lung’ vaping means drawing the vapor into your mouth before inhaling—the same way as smoking a cigarette (As opposed to ‘Direct Lung’ vaping which involves inhaling the vapor directly into your lungs)

The T3D is designed with a 2.2 ml capacity and is compliant with the European Union TPD vaping regulations. The replaceable coil design gives a better vape is better value for money than the basic disposable tanks you usually get with starter kits.

It has a removable 510 standard-fitting drip tip which is interchangeable (sold separately in store) great for those who prefer a plastic/silicone mouthpiece rather than the standard metal.

Designed to fit any ego-threaded battery, and has air holes on the base allowing a sufficient airflow when inhaling.

Coils

We stock both the 1.2 and 1.8 resistance dual coils. The 1.2ohm heats up quicker, giving more of a ‘throat hit’ whereas the 1.8 coils will usually last slightly longer, and give a smoother vape.

Changing coils

To change the coil in your T3D, turn the tank upside down and unscrew the base just below the logo. You do not need to empty out the liquid, just make sure you stand the tank upside down on a steady, flat surface (We find it more secure to remove the drip tip in advance to stop it from toppling over!)

Hold the stem of the coil and twist counter-clockwise. Dispose of used coil, replace with your new one and screw into the base firmly. Indications that you need to replace your coil with the T3D are; a burnt taste to your liquid, a gurgling sound when inhaling or leaking. It is also essential that you tip out any remaining, wash out and refill with fresh liquid as the burnt taste can remain in the liquid you had in previously.

Filling your tank

Turn the tank upside down and unscrew the base the same way you would if replacing a coil. Pour the liquid down the inside of the tank, holding it at a slight angle. Avoid getting any liquid down the centre tube.  Don’t fill above the centre metal tube. Replace the coil and base, screwing it in a clockwise direction.

Our Opinion

The T3D is a great tank for new starters. It is simple to use and more cost effective than its disposable counterparts.

A Mouth to Lung or Direct Lung tank.

‘Mouth To Lung’ vaping is when you draw the vapor into your mouth
before inhaling (like with a cigarette) Subohm or ‘Direct Lung’ vaping  involves inhaling the vapor directly into your lungs.

The GS Air 2 tank is designed with a 2ml e-liquid capacity making it compliant with the European Union TPD vaping regulations. It’s simple design makes it very easy to use. It boasts an adjustable airflow at the base, allowing for a very smooth inhale.

We stock the 0.75 ohm coils for use with compatible subohm batteries only (e.g. 30w and over)  and the 1.2ohm coils which are suited to standard Mouth To Lung vaping. The straight pipe-style drip tip is replaceable  also features a delrin (thermoplastic) driptip which is more like a top hat and not the standard 510, however you can remove it and replace with an alternative 510 should you wish. The delrin material does not get hot so minimises the risk of burning your mouth for those who like to vape it on a high wattage!

Coils

We stock both the 0.4 and 0.5 resistance coils. 0.4ohm having an optimum performance used at 40-50watts and the 0.5ohm at 35-40watts.

Changing coils

To change the coil in your EVO, your tank needs to be empty of
eliquid. Unscrew the top and slide the glass upwards to remove. You can then unscrew the coil and replace. Always remember to prime your coil well before use—the longer the better. Here at Ecig Switch, we recommend you change your coil in an evening and leave to soak overnight. Patience will make your coils last longer and minimise burning it out prematurely!

Filling your tank

The EVO is a top fill tank, making it less messy when topping up with eliquid.  Unscrew the top (from just below the drip tip) in an anti-clockwise direction.  Drip/pour your liquid into the tank, between the coil and the glass, right up to the brim. Firmly screw the  top back on in a clockwise direction.

Our Opinion

We have never really been a fan of Aspire products in the past, however as technology and designs have improved over the years, Aspire is clearly now a front runner.  The 0.4 ohm coils have twice as much wick, giving huge cloud production and give an amazing vape. Our personal use has proven no leakage and ease in filling up/changing coils.

A Mouth to Lung tank

‘Mouth To Lung’ vaping is when you draw the vapour into your mouth before inhaling, like cigarette smoking (as opposed to ‘Direct
Lung’ or ‘Sub-ohm vaping’ which involves inhaling the vapor directly into your lungs). The Aerotank Plus has a 2ml      e-liquid capacity making it compliant with the European Union TPD vaping regulations. The new design uses SSOCC coils (see below) which gives you much improved airflow, vapour and flavour compared to earlier models of the Aerotank. It boasts a unique, flat-style style drip tip which appeals to most Mouth To Lung users but can be replaced with a traditional style 510 drip tip should you wish (sold separately in store). The Aerotank Plus has an adjustable airflow valve which features four airflow holes of varying sizes. The tank is conveniently filled from the top and made from a durable stainless steel construction.  As a bonus, the kit also includes a spare glass tube and a spare set of rubber O-rings.

Coils

The Aerotank Plus now supports the popular SSOCC (Stainless Steel Organic Cotton Coil) atomizer heads. We stock the 1.5 resistance coils which have a vertical wire set up, and will perform best between 10 – 26w. (The Aerotank Plus 1.5ohm coils are compatible with the Protank 4 tank and vice versa)

Changing coils

To change the coil in your Aerotank Plus, your tank needs to be empty of eliquid. Unscrew the base ina clockwise direction(where the
airflow control is) and the glass tank in an anti-clockwise direction. You can then unscrew the coil (anti-clockwise) and replace. Always remember to prime your coil well before use—the longer the better. We would recommend half an hour for this tank. Patience will make your coils last longer and minimise burning it out prematurely! If your battery has adjustable voltage/wattage, start it on low and gradually increase the power.

Filling your tank

The Aerotank Plus is a top fill tank, so you do not have to remove from your battery when filling up. Unscrew the top cap (from just below the drip tip) in an anti-clockwise direction.  Drip/pour your liquid into the tank, between the coil and the glass. Firmly screw the  top back on in a clockwise direction.

Our Opinion

We have always favoured Kangertech tanks here, and this latest model has not let us down. As technology and designs improve over the years, Kangertech doesn’t fail to keep up!  The use of SSOCC coils give it superior flavour and vapour compared to previous models of Mouth To Lung tanks.

Lung Inhale Tanks

[accordion clicktoclose=true tag=h3][accordion-item title=”‘How To’ Eleaf Ijust 2 Mini” state=closed]

A Direct Lung inhale/ Sub-ohm tank.

Subohm vaping involves taking vapor directly into your lungs rather than the standard ‘Mouth To Lung” method which is drawing the vapor into your mouth before inhaling.

The Ijust 2 mini tank has a 2ml capacity making it compliant with the European Union TPD vaping regulations and heat vents at the base to create a fast flowing and cooling airflow on the inhale. This can be restricted to suit by fitting the silicone airflow ring provided and twisting it to cover/uncover the open vents as you wish.

Coils

We stock the 0.3 and 0.5 resistance EC heads (coils) for the iJust2.  The 0.3ohm having an optimum performance when used between   30-80watts and the 0.5ohm at 60watts max.

Changing coils

To change the coil in your iJust2 tank, just turn it upside down and unscrew the base. The coil is then easily unscrewed  and disposed of. We recommend you rinse the base under the tap at this point, as sometimes liquid can collect in the bottom and seep out from the airholes, making it quite messy!  The good thing is, there’s no need to wait until your tank is empty before you change the coil. Always remember to prime your new coil well before use—the longer the better. Here at Ecig Switch, we recommend you change your coil in an evening and leave to soak overnight. Patience will make your coils last so much longer and minimise burning it out prematurely!

Filling your tank

The iJust2 is a bottom-fill tank so just unscrew the base in an anti-clockwise direction.  Drip/pour your liquid into the tank carefully, avoiding the hole in the centre. Check the coil is screwed in tightly before re-screwing the  base back on to the upturned tank

Our Opinion

We can honestly say we have never had problems with the performance of the iJust tanks, and rate them very highly for Subohm vaping and currently use them for all our samples so you can try them in-store to see for yourself!

[accordion clicktoclose=true tag=h3][accordion-item title=”‘How To’ Melo III Mini” state=closed]

A Direct Lung inhale/ Sub-ohm tank

Subohm vaping involves inhaling the vapor directly into your lungs as opposed to standard ‘Mouth To Lung vaping. The Melo III mini is designed with a 2ml ejuice capacity making it compliant with the European Union TPD vaping regulations.

It is designed for use with the Eleaf Pico kit, but fits nicely on most Mod batteries, and has a standard 510 thread.

Key Features:

  • 22mm Diameter
  • 2ml Tank Capacity
  • Top Fill System
  • 0.3 ohm Kanthal coil – 30 to 80W
  • 0.5 ohm Kanthal coil – 30 to 100W
  • Invisible Airflow Control
  • Heat Insulated Drip Tip

With a cleverly designed ‘hidden’ adjustable airflow at the base of the tank and a sleek design it is a popular product. The tank comes apart allowing for easy cleaning has the ability to replace the glass in case of a mishap!

Coils

We stock both the 0.3 and 0.5 resistance coils. 0.3ohm having an optimum performance used at 30-80watts and the 0.5ohm at 30-100watts.

Changing coils

To change the coil in your Melo III mini, your tank needs to be empty of eliquid. Unscrew the base, just under the airflow ring and it should come apart, however this is a little tricky to do and may take some practice! You can then unscrew the coil and replace. Always remember to prime your coil well before use—the longer the better. Here at Ecig Switch, we recommend you change your coil in an evening and leave to soak overnight. Patience will make your coils last longer and minimise burning it out prematurely!

Filling your tank

The Melo III mini is a top fill tank so less mess when topping up your eliquid. Unscrew the top (from just below the drip tip) in an anti-clockwise direction.  Drip/pour your liquid into the tank, between the coil and the glass, right up to the brim. Firmly screw the  top back on in a clockwise direction.

Our Opinion

Although a very compact and stylish looking tank, it is not the best choice for someone who wants big clouds. That said, it does produce a decent enough amount of vapour if you crank up the wattage. Thick silicone seals prevent leaking, but boy does this tank drink juice! [/accordion-item][/accordion]

A Direct Lung inhale/ Sub-ohm tank.

(Subohm vaping involves inhaling the vapor directly into your lungs as opposed to standard ‘Mouth To Lung vaping, which is when you draw the vapor into your mouth before inhaling) The standard kit is designed with a 2ml ejuice capacity making it compliant with the European Union TPD vaping regulations. The extra wick and new design ensures that the Evo tank is leak proof, also a TPD requirement. It boasts a quad airflow at the base, giving a very smooth inhale. We stock the new design 0.4 and 0.5ohm coils which give superior cloud production and genuinely enhanced vaping! (Aspire Atlantis coils are compatible with the Evo tank and vice versa)

The EVO also features a delrin (thermoplastic) driptip which is more like a top hat and not the standard 510, however you can remove it and replace with an alternative 510 should you wish. The delrin material does not get hot so minimises the risk of burning your mouth for those who like to vape it on a high wattage!
